Support group for mothers of special children

While all parents experience stress, parents of children with special needs have additional anxieties and pressures. Most of the day to day child rearing and the navigation of the maze of special needs falls to the mothers’ lap. Trips to doctors, hospitals, therapists etc. are usually dealt with by the mom who is recognized as the primary caregiver.

The Mom’s Club, hosts evenings out about four times each year. It gives the mothers opportunities to learn relaxation techniques, hear an inspirational speech or just network with the group. It affords the mothers a variety of occasions to exchange experiences in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
