It is now almost twenty-five years since the Chabad Lubavitch Organization made the bold move to the former farm town of Vaughan. Back then no one expected nor envisioned the phenomenal growth of Yiddishkeit, which is now so prevalent B’ezras HaShem in the northern outskirts of the GTA. As one of the principle trailblazers that invested and exerted much effort, energy, and resources, we take great pride in the numerous Lubavitch Centres, community Shuls, Yeshivot and educational institutions that now grace the landscape of our ever-growing community.

Our multi faceted centre operates almost non stop 24/7. From early morning Torah classes, to multiple minyamin to programs and special events, the buz from meaningful activity goes on all day and into the night. Indeed as a result of our commitment to bolster and disseminate Yiddishkeit looking through a wide angle lens each room and all larger areas serve many purposes. Depending on the time of day and season of the year, it could be adults attending a Torah class, youngsters participating at hobby clubs, teenagers attending drama practice, a holiday rally, or day camp activities.

Naturally being cognizant of the high traffic and the anticipated wear and tear, we have been diligent and adopted the highest standard of building maintenance. In fact due to our commitment and the dedication of our staff our facility is always ready to welcome visitors in pristine conditions.

Yet the time has come to spruce up the facility and give it a fresh look. So too, a number of renovations and modifications are necessary in order to facilitate growth, expansion and usage change. Most notable will be an enlarged three level entrance atrium that will feature an elevator, more space added to the auditorium, Shul, library, and Bait Medrash.

But all this requires your help, partnership and support. The campaign objective of $1,171,000 is well within reach. Indeed as a result of the trust, confidence, and generosity of caring individuals, Chabad Lubavitch has become a vibrant force dedicated to improving the quality of Jewish life amongst all segments of the community.
